Drover's Cottage, completed in late 2005, is a delightful new-build, 5 bed-room, 2 storey property with spectacular views to the south over Loch Ness, and on to the rolling hills of Glen Albyn and Stratherrick. It is situated high on the hill to the North of Loch Ness, approximately level with Urquhart Castle, some 200 metres above the Loch itself. Despite its splendid isolation, Drover's Cottage is less then 2 miles from the bustling tourist village of Drumnadrochit, which plays host to two Loch Ness Monster Exhibition centres, in addition to several cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops.
A holiday at Drover's Cottage is a relaxing affair. With pine floors throughout and simple fresh furnishings, and a full range of modern kitchen facilities, you can relax in the knowledge that children can run safely around the large garden area, and even investigate the adjoining birch woods.
The main entrance, at the rear of the cottage, provides ample space for storage of shoes and outdoor wear, and is complemented by a rather grand church pew, purchased during a recent refurbishment from Glenurquhart Free Church.
