Located close to the village of Fort Augustus, at the southern end of Loch Ness, the cottage is an ideal base for exploring much of the highlands of Scotland.

Also the Caledonian Canal runs through the centre of the village from Loch Ness, where boats can be seen negotiating a staircase of canal locks.
